Privacy Policy — Bilingual Interleaved Audio Maker

Who we are

Bilingual Interleaved Audio Maker (the "Service") is operated by Bilingual Mix, an independent developer based in mainland China. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Service. Effective date: 2026-10-12.

What we collect

• Your email address — used solely for quota tracking and membership identification. We do not send marketing emails.
• Usage metadata — processing minutes, dates, and your plan, used to enforce quotas.
• Audio you upload — transmitted temporarily for transcription and discarded immediately afterwards; we do not store your audio files. The output file is assembled locally in your own browser.
• Server logs — standard request logs kept by our hosting platform (Cloudflare) for security and troubleshooting.

The Service currently uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Third-party processing

To perform transcription, audio you upload is transferred through our API to our speech-recognition provider (Groq, Inc., United States). Groq processes your audio solely for that purpose and under its own privacy policy. Apart from this provider and our hosting platform, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone.

Retention

• Audio files: discarded immediately after transcription.
• Email and usage records: kept while you use the Service, deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
• Server logs: retained per the hosting platform's defaults (typically under 30 days).

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (your email and usage counters) at any time by emailing support@bilingualmix.com. We respond within 30 days. Audio files you generate in your browser are entirely under your control.

Children

The Service is aimed at adults (for example, parents preparing learning materials for their children). It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
